Project Revolution Through Education
Education can create pathways to greater opportunity when children and communities have access to consistent learning support, foundational skills and relevant knowledge. Revolution Through Education was developed to strengthen educational support for children and underserved groups through supplementary classes, tuition support, health and hygiene awareness and digital skills training. The project provided weekly English and Mathematics classes at Gandhi Ashram in GTB Nagar, along with guidance on sanitation and personal hygiene. It also offered free tuition to children living around Vijay Nagar and computer training for persons with disabilities and children from economically weaker sections.

Strengthening Support in Core School Subjects
Volunteers conducted English and Mathematics classes for children at Gandhi Ashram in GTB Nagar.
The programme aimed to provide evening learning support to children up to Class 5, creating additional opportunities for children to practise school subjects, clarify concepts and receive individual attention beyond their regular classroom environment.
The volunteer-led model enabled community members to contribute directly to children's educational development.
Integrating Health and Hygiene Awareness
Education was complemented by sessions on sanitation and personal hygiene.
Children received guidance on everyday practices related to cleanliness, personal care and healthy habits. Integrating these topics into educational sessions helped connect classroom learning with aspects of health, well-being and everyday life.
Free Tuition Near Vijay Nagar
The project also provided free tuition to children living in and around Vijay Nagar through a local learning centre.
The classes created an additional space where children could study, seek academic assistance and receive support with their schoolwork.
By providing supplementary education at no cost, the initiative aimed to reduce some of the barriers faced by children from economically disadvantaged households.
Expanding Access to Digital Skills
Recognising the growing importance of digital literacy, Revolution Through Education also included free computer training.
The training was provided to:
- Persons with disabilities
- Children from economically weaker sections
Access to basic computer skills can support education, communication, access to information and future livelihood opportunities. The digital component therefore extended the project's focus beyond academic support towards digital inclusion and broader capability development.
An Integrated Approach to Learning
Revolution Through Education brought together multiple forms of educational and developmental support:
- Weekly English and Mathematics classes
- Evening learning support for children up to Class 5
- Sanitation and personal hygiene awareness
- Free tuition for children near Vijay Nagar
- Free computer training for persons with disabilities
- Computer training for children from economically weaker sections
By combining foundational education with health awareness and digital skills, the project sought to support children's learning, confidence, everyday well-being and access to future opportunities.
At its core, Revolution Through Education reflected the belief that meaningful educational support should address not only academic learning, but also the skills, knowledge and capabilities people need to participate more fully in society.
